Welcome Home 2: Argentina

http://mpora.com/videos/jaSrY6eOK The end of shooting for the new ‘Welcome Home 2’ movie came in the form of the Argentinian mountains, famous for throwing out condors, the tango and hand-balling football players. The riders hit up the slopes in style, showing off what energy and tricks they’ve got left that they didn’t impress the locals with on the previous trips. We gave you the full DVD in Whitelines Magazine Issue 93, but if you missed it you’ll have to wait a little longer for the online version to be released. Serves you right really, dunnit.

Ripcurl’s ‘Welcome Home 2’ showcases the towns and local areas that the featured riders are from, showing each other the best jibbing spots, rails and powder fields their hood has to offer. The rider list includes Elias Elhardt, Victor Daviet, Victor De Le Rue (yes, brother of the freerider Xavier, don’t push him onto his coat tails!), Finnish rider Janne Lipsanen, Swede Nils Arvidsson, Darius Heristchian, Remi Lamazouere, Mati Raedelli, Dani Sastre, Martin Seiler, Matthias Nyberg and Nate Johnstone. Here’s what Nate had to say about the Argentinian leg of the project:

“This year, Argentina was one of the funniest trips I have done. Once the snow started falling, it never stopped and we had a couple of really fun sessions. I think one of the best days was when we hiked into one of the back bowls and had untouched powder all to ourselves. Everyone got a lot of cool stuff down that day. Elias landed a really nice cab 5 off of one of the cliffs in the bowl, that looked insane! Over all, it was a really great trip and I had an awesome time. Can’t wait for the next time I get the chance to ride with all the boys again!”

If you want to catch up with some of the other trips the boys have been on, you can watch the Swedish and German legs here.
