GB Freestyle Team hit up New Zealand

While we were busy making the best of our not so summery summer and getting behind Team GB in the Olympics, a different Team GB were over on the other side of the world tearing it up on snowboards. The GB Freestyle Team and their sprightly cohort of young snowboard whizz-kids were out sending it in Snow Park NZ and this edit really shows of the strength and breadth of talent in our young Olympic hopefuls. You’ve got Jamie Nicholls, Rowan Coultas and Sam Turnbull boosting off kickers and chucking 9’s and 10’s willy nilly. Aimee Fuller and her freshly learnt double backflips, and Katie Ormerod with her silky smooth rail hits and big backside 540’s. Lewis Courtier-Jones has got skills in the pipe, rails and kickers while the experienced Ben Kilner and Dom Harrington are still slaying the pipe. And lets not forget Billy Morgan who, fresh off the back of winning the international big air on home turf at Freeze last weekend, is looking as bolts as ever in this.

It also looks the team have got a really good thing going off the slopes as well as on, enjoying some Wanaka skatepark tomfoolery and Billy Morgan getting into some rather compromising gymnastics positions… This is one seriously banging edit though and we look forward to seeing our boys and girls on many a podium this season.
