This one’s a lesson for all those who worry too much about their kit. OK, having a nice board (or bike) will make things easier, but it’s the rider who makes the difference, and a good rider can use… well, anything. Witness this weird chap doing a little freestyle BMX on a vintage ladies bike. He may look like a gypsy extra from Borat (it doesn’t get much more pikey than jibbing the roof a 1986 Peugeot 305 next to a clapped out caravan… in a tracksuit) but he’s got two-wheeled skills Danny Macaskill would be proud of.
