It’s about time somebody did his properly – a movie documenting the rise of snowboarding over the past four decades or so, from way back when Snurfers were all the rage and Burton and Sims were bickering over intellectual property, to the leaps and bounds that our sport has come in recent years.
Featuring commentary from (deep breath): Sherman Poppen, Chuck Barfoot, David Seoane, Tina Basich, JP Walker, Todd Richards, Jake Burton, Kier Dillon, Danny Davis, Tom Burt, Brad Steward, Tom Hsieh, Mike Chantry, Mike Basich, Regis Roland, Reto Lamm, Norm Saylor, Marcel Looze, Christophe Dubi, Danny Burrows, Gigi Rüf, Ståle Sandbech, Trent Bush, Gian Simmen, Terje Håkonsen, Trevor Graves and Kevin Pearce, the film promises to be an accurate an honest account of the history of snowboarding. We’re just excited to see the part about snowboarders sticking it to the man when they were banned from riding at resorts back in the day. Oh and it’s narrated by Jason Lee as well.
The global premiere, which went down at the Air & Style at the start of the month was met with glowing reviews from all we spoke to and we’re stoked to bring you the online premiere of the full movie this Sunday at 6pm. Just tune in to our homepage to catch the movie or watch it on live.mpora.com.
