Billy Morgan - First place pre-qualification run at the World Snowboarding Championships

So the inaugural World Snowboarding Championships are underway in Oslo, Norway, and triple rodeo stomper Billy Morgan is over there representin’ for the UK, where he just got first place in his slopestyle pre-qualification run – ahead of the likes of Chris Kroll and Petja Piiroinen (that’s Peetu’s brother). Check out the mad double cork over the butterbox on 27 seconds – and how bloomin’ fast is he going into some of these hits?! Big thanks to the boys at for, ahem, borrowing this footage from the official live stream. We’re super excited to see how Billy progresses over the rest of the week. OK, it’s a long shot right now but how funny would it be if a Brit ended up as World Snowboarding Champion? I’m sure the Americans would love it.

If by inaugural you mean first, the first World Snowboard Championships were held at Soda Springs, California in 1983, duh!
