Rad new concept for Volcom’s ‘IP2’

Here’s the teaser for Volcom’s new movie IP2, which brings what we think is a rad new concept to the table. While the name sort of sounds like a Star Wars droid or Intel processor, it actually stands for ‘individually produced parts’ – and is pretty self-explanatory really. While the majority of the footage was shot and edited by Jake Price, Seth Huot, Justin Turkowski, and Pat Barraza, essentially all of the creative direction for the parts including the overall content, look/feel, spots and tricks was down to the individual riders themselves. Did Volcom just get lazy this season? Or were they looking to try something a bit different? A little bit of both perhaps? Either way, we think this is a nice fresh concept and we’re looking forward to seeing the final results.

The parts will drop online one by one in the following order:

Daniel Brown – September 3
Cody Beierdorf & Seth Huot – September 17
Scott Blum – October 1
Arthur Longo & Friends – October 15
Dylan Alito – October 31
Zac Marben – November 5
Dan Brisse – November 19
Curtis Ciszek – December 3
Bjorn Leines – December 17
Bryan Iguchi & Jamie Lynn – December 31
