In case you’re wondering, we haven’t started going all weird and chatting Manadarin since we relaunched our website – we just thought we’d share this one with our Chinese readers too. It’s the teaser for a brand new Chinese snowboard movie. Mellowparks, the guys behind the film, have made several snowboard flicks before focussing on the Chinese scene. This latest effort sees them travelling to Japan and Austria, and from the looks of this fast-paced teaser, is going to be a belter. Mellowparks told us: “Xing is the Chinese word for ‘OK’, but it also means to go, travel and visit – which is exactly what we did this past season.” Not all the tricks are international-scene massive, sure, but the spots look cool, and the whole thing’s nicely edited. It features riding from “Marco Huang, Andrew Wang, Steve-o, Liu Li, Xiaoguo, Zhangwei, Nate, Jokey Tong, Aimar, Nick Hyne [a kiwi] plus Jay and all the other Chinese shredders”. Mellowparks also explained the player it’s on – it’s called Youku – Vimeo and Youtube are apparently blocked by the Great Firewall of China…
