Seb Toots Down Under – Australian Park Crushing

Australia seems to be getting more and more popular for pre-season shredding these days, slowly creeping up on NZ’s hold of the last link before winter in the chain of year-round snowboarding. Winter turns to spring, to Mt Hood, to Aus before returning to the European/North American winter.

…as comfortable going switch as he is regular, everything on lock, all with that lazy style and half smile

Which is why we’ve been spying rad contests like the Mile High – a style focused intro into the new contest circuit – and sick edits like this one, courtesy of Sebastien Toutant. That’s Mr Toots to you.

Filmed at Perisher Resort’s Playstation park it’s more of the magic we’ve come to expect from the Quebecois wizard: heavy tricks done with style, like the back 180 to 5050, switch back 180 out at 1.20. He’s almost asleep when he lands, never mind looking where he’s going.

It seems that the summer break has had almost no impact on his riding, in fact after a mad winter qualifying for the ‘Lympics then filming this unreal street part in two weeks, the rest must have done him some good.

To those familiar with the skate scene, Toots is fast becoming our version of Paul Rodriguez – as comfortable going switch as he is regular, everything on lock, all with that lazy style and half smile. High praise, but praise that he’s lived up to again and again.
