Three Video Responses To Jacob Roberts’ Season Edit

Last week we were faced with the realisation that despite our best efforts we just can’t watch every single snowboarding-related video that comes through the internet. It’s quite a big place the world wide web after all. And so occasionally we miss something that should be seen and shared.

Jacob Roberts’ Summer Edit was damn impressive

Case in point was the example of Jacob Roberts, who had managed to sneak stealthily into that talent pool of young’uns we should really keep an eye on without us even noticing. This prompted us to ask you to send us in your videos – especially if they were anything like that, we wanted to see them.

Here’s three responses that definitely fit the criteria:

Colby Dane-Brown‘s 2012-13 edit is strong. The 16 year old, based out of Hemel, has managed to get himself over to High Cascade regularly to boost his freestyle riding and it’s clearly taken effect. As is the trend with dome based kids, Colby’s looking pretty jib-focussed, but with only two years riding park under his belt, we’re certainly impressed!

Apo sponsored 6 year old Mia Brookes is clearly very early on in her career but already she’s showing plenty of promise. Rockin the AC/DC shirt and hitting benches she could probably comfortably walk under we’ll be keeping an eye out for this name in the future.

Arguably Heinrich Watson-Miller‘s edit shows the most developed style, but at 18 he’s had a few extra years on the other two. A member of the Blitz Youth Academy (alongside Colby) we’re glad to see him bringing home some clips from summer shred on Mount Hood as well as an innovative way of making your own Dual Boards – while simultaneously proving how ridiculous they are.

Props for the broken shoulder on that triple kink by the way…
