Of course they’re wearing RuRocs in the promo vid for this, the latest product designed to ‘revolutionise’ winter sports. Because God knows apparently snowboarding isn’t cool anymore…

Complete with over-stretched jokes – ‘What else can we do in these brocken ski boots?’ and a paper-thin Matrix tribute (we’ll have the blue pill please) – and a healthy dose of Oh-my-God-he’s-upside-down! tricks, the makers of this promotional spot are either doing something ironically, or have totally disconnected with reality.

As snowboard design fads go, the variety of shapes on the hill these days is pretty cool. But of course this same trend has also bled into alpine footwear for idiots. Snowblades became Fatblades, which in turn became Dual Snowboards, before settling (for now) on these: Sled Dogs snow skates. Blading on snow is now actually a reality.
