Burton’s [Snowboarding] series comes to a close this week and what a hell of a climax. The final part came out today, and this time the crew are taking on resorts…

Not the resorts you know though, no. These are frickin’ huge superparks, with some of the best features you’ll see this season. For maximum effect they open up with some of the smaller riders on their team – Red Gerard attacking comparatively gigantic kickers with the ferocity of a pit bull, and the Fergusons and Roope dialing it in with some tight tranny. The Seven Springs sessions show Burton is still scouting some of the best young riders around.

Then come a second helping of big dogs: Danny Davis, Mark McMorris, Jack Mitrani, Peetu Piiroinen, Marco Grilc, Werni Stock, Alek Ostreng and Christian Haller join the party up on Peace Park in Squaw Valley. Needless to say you know you’re watching some of the best in the business on these big hits – and from there on in, the hammer-fest is ready to roll.

Bear Mountain, Blackcolm, Aspen, Breckenridge, there’s even a cheeky appearance by Shaun White – who’s apparently on a powder-slash mission. With the episodes now over, we’ll be sorry to see the back of the [Snowboarding] series, but let’s be honest, this isn’t the last we’ll hear of these lot this year…
