Top 44 Snowboard Jackets (and Pants) of 2013/2014

Gretchen Bleiler and Jake Blauvelt have tested and approved these outwear combos from Oakley this season. They may not be on the cheap side but tech-wise, they’re pretty hot. The Fairhaven (left) is made with Gore-Tex laminate and down to keep the snow at bay. Female riders looking for a swish stylish jacket need to look no further than the Haver (right) with its faux fur trim collar and shiny white exterior. Plus both jackets are equipped with a fancy hidden Recco harmonic radar in case of avalanches!

ABOUT OAKLEY SNOWBOARDING

Oakley was started by a motocross enthusiast named Jim Jannard in 1975. The company, which Jannard named after his dog, began with a $300 initial investment. Today it is worth billions and makes products for everyone from motorcyclists to the US military. Oakley has been involved in snowboarding since the early years, and now produces some of the best outerwear on the market as well as its signature goggles. The super-breathable Gore-Tex Jake Blauvelt Signature Collection shown here is a case in point. Worn by a board spectrum of riders, from jib Jedi Eiki Helgason to backcountry queen Marie-France Roy, Oakley’s latest range is designed to cater to a wide variety of tastes, with pastel colours and unobtrusive patterns.
