Burton Clash Snowboard 2015-2016

Another low-priced offering, this is technically one for newbies. The flat base certainly gets the uninitiated off on the right foot, and it’s light and flexible enough to manipulate easily.

More experienced riders will get on well with it too, though. In fact, it took the top spot in our Best Snowboards Under £350 category, so you really won’t find a better deal.

Burton Custom Snowboard 2015-2016

Twenty years down, the Burton Custom remains the most iconic snowboard out there. As others have come and gone, it remains a do-everything, go-anywhere favourite.

With full camber profile and slightly directional build, this thing goes like the clappers. You’ll also see plenty of them in the park and pipe, or even off a powder booter when the conditions are right.

Burton Custom Twin Snowboard 2015-2016

The regular Custom is fine for freestyle, but the Custom Twin is even better.

The main difference is given away in the name; this has a true twin shape and flex. It also has an asymmetric build, with the core constructed with duck-footed park rider’s bindings in mind.

Otherwise it’s got that safe-as-houses Custom build that’s as reliable as ever.

Burton Custom X Snowboard 2015-2016

The last Custom on our list is the supercharged Custom X. This one is even more of a precision tool than the original camber version; it boasts the came profile and shape, but also has added carbon that makes it a lightweight, responsive corduroy-killer that can absolutely charge.

If you like ripping it down hardpack, or defying gravity in a full-sized halfpipe, this could be the one for you.

Burton Feelgood Women’s Snowboard 2015-2016

Kelly Clark has ridden the Feelgood to glory more times than we’ve had hot dinners.

Like the Custom, it comes in both Camber and Flying V versions. Choose the former for power, pop and response, and the latter for a slightly looser ride that’s easier to work in powder.

Both are full of life and light of weight, though, so all-mountain riders of all levels are catered for by the Feelgood.

Burton Flight Attendant Snowboard 2015-2016

After a storming debut last year, the Flight Attendant is back for more pow-chasing.

The profile has a setback camber section for control and power in the turns, and a long rocker at the nose for float.

From groomers to cliff drops, it can handle the lot.

Burton Lip-Stick Women’s Snowboard 2015-2016

You’ll be ‘made up’ when you’re riding this… especially if you like flat-based boards that also float well in pow and have plenty of pop.

It’s not one for high-end stuff, but is tons o’ fun on the medium sized features – as well as any side hits that you findon the way down the hill. The sintered base carries you along quick, too.

Burton Nug Snowboard 2015-2016

Short and stubby, the Burton Nug made a splash on its debut and remains popular over five years later.

offers the effective edge of a much larger board, but is incredibly easy to chuck off everything in sight. Even with less surface area at the ends, you can still press this – helped along by the hybrid profile.

From jumps and rails to the pow, this offers a fresh take on the stuff you love doing.

Burton Process Snowboard 2015-2016

Here’s what carries Mark McMorris to the podium in countless comps – however, it’s got plenty to offer the average freestyle rider too.

It’s softer than you might think, so you can get plenty out of it on smaller features and at slower speeds. However, should you wish to ping it then the camber profile and Frostbite edges will keep you right.

Burton Process Off-Axis Snowboard 2015-2016

Like the Custom, the Burton Process also comes in various flavours these days. As well as the camber and Flying V versions, there’s the Process Off-Axis.

Essentially it’s an asymmetric version, but with a slightly tweaked profile too. True freestyle acolytes will love this one even more than the other two, so pick one up if that sounds like you.

Burton Socialite Women’s Snowboard 2015-2016

This women’s all-rounder is soft without being too soft, and flat-based for maximum versatility.

The asymmetric construction is great for freestyle, as well as for cranking out those carves when you can. It’s not one for pushing to the limit, but great for cruising and pissing about all over the mountain.

The price is right, too.

Burton Talent Scout Women’s Snowboard 2015-2016

The Burton Talent Scout is a firm freestyle favourite, an asymmetric twin that can handle the big stuff when called upon. In fact, our testers anointed it the Best Women’s Snowboard of 2015/16!

The profile is a twist on classic camber that makes it slightly more playful, but if you need it to be precise it will oblige. Expect to see plenty of them in the park this winter.

Burton Trick Pony Snowboard 2015-2016

Finally, we come to the Burton Trick Pony – an all-terrain vehicle if ever there were one.

Thanks to the flat base it can turn its hand to anything, while the twin shape makes freestyle easy both on and off the piste.
