The Pile Driver is a brand new board for the 2014-2015 season. Its short wide shape and large spoon-like nose are reminiscent of the Yes 420 or the Burton Nug. While the pads under the bindings make it look like you could even ride this as a no-board pretty easily.
As you might have guessed, it’s built primarily for riding powder, with its tiny fish tail, designed to spread the weight at the back while keeping it manoeuvrable enough to skip in and out of the trees.
Word on the street is that Terje had a hand in designing this…
It’s actually not dissimilar to the original Burton Backhill, which the brand also had on display at the event.
