DC Lauri Pro Tone mens snowboard – Gear Review

News that the bizarrely-monickered Englebert Humperdinck will represent the UK at Eurovision has led to a lot of Katrina & The Waves mentions in the press lately. They were, of course, the last act to win it for these isles. Probably unbeknownst to them, they also contributed to one of the best, most entertaining sections of any snowboard movie in recent years – Lauri Heiskari‘s ender in Derelictica:

Banger, no? And his pro model for 2012’s not too shabby either; the DC Lauri Pro Tone snowboard. With a fancy-pants take on the classic DC logo (we’re guessing Chanel’s cease-and-desist is still in place) but otherwise fairly plain, this is subtle on the surface but a beast where it counts. Like all the reverse camber boards in the DC line, it’s got a core that supposedly delivers all the pop of a camber – which explains how big-booter-loving Lauri has ended up with a rocker stick. Check it!
