Niklas has got his brothers to thank for his snowboarding career after they told him at the age of five he wasn’t allowed to ski anymore because skiing was for “noobs” (well said guys). They pushed him onto a board and he hasn’t looked back since.
The rider had never been outside Sweden before his professional snowboarding career took off, but soon asserted himself on the world stage with a silver at the 2011 FIS World Championships. Having to wear the most ridiculous pants at the Sochi Olympics didn’t stop him from throwing down, but in the end he only made it as far as the semis. Still, he’s got the talent to be challenging for those podium spots in the future.
