Prior to 2013, we’d never heard of Anna Gasser. That all changed when she rocked up to an early-season session and became the first woman in history to put down the first ever cab double underflip.
Since then she’s barely been off our radar, constantly at the forefront of slopestyle comps the world over. She managed a 5th place finish at the 2014 X Games, and qualified for the Olympic slopestyle final with the top score in her heat after putting down an insanely smooth run on the notorious Sochi course.
Time will tell if she can go on to win the gold, but either way she’ll soon have to get used to the spotlight.
