Whitelines November Knockout: full details

The Whitelines Rail Jam Tour is back with a vengeance. Our new ‘November Knockout’ concept brings an exciting new twist to the tried and tested jam format and all kicks off at Tamworth SnowDome on the 10th November (see below for additional tour dates).

Here’s how it’s all gonna go down: Riders will session the full open slopestyle course before the top eight or sixteen riders progress through to the knockout stages (dependent on the number of riders that show up and the overall standard of riding). These qualifiers will then be randomly paired up, going head-to-head on an epic plaza-style feature*, with only one rider from each pairing progressing to the next stage. The tournament style knockout format will cut the riders down to just two for a three run superfinal. Riders will be able to track their progress on a tournament chart at the bottom of the course.

We’ve got one heck of a prize purse too: In addition to the £700 cash up for grabs to be split between the top riders, the fantastic people at iON Action Cameras (www.iontheaction.co.uk) will be bringing camera gear worth over £1000 to make the prize purse even sweeter: an iON Air Pro Plus and board kit (retail value £288) for first place, an iON Air Pro Plus (retail value £249) for second place and an iON Air Pro (retail value £199) for third place. There will also be a fourth iON camera up for grabs for an as of yet unannounced ‘iON Challenge.’

We’ll also have a stack of legit products from other sponsors: Monster, Dragon, Stance, EA Sports and Mons Royale and will be giving them away as spot prizes for tricks that impress us on the night.

*The setup’s gonna to be legit: We’ve instructed each dome’s shaping team to come up with the most innovative multi-hit plaza style feature that they can practically conceive. Think wallrides, rail transfers, stairs, close-outs, kinked rails, wallie bars and everything in between. At each stop, the knockout stages and final will go down on this über feature. We’ll be running a vote to determine which park was the most legit and the winning dome will receive some brand new shaping tools to help them put out even sicker parks in the future.

If you want to bag a shot in Whitelines Snowboard Magazine (or here on the site), be part of the video edits or ride some of the most progressive indoor snowparks to date, come and get involved. The FBBB boys will be on hand behind the mic getting everyone amped and we reckon it’s going to be the most legit UK shred tour our fine shores have ever seen!Full tour dates are as follows – add yourselves to the Facebook groups and invite your friends!
