Westbeach have announced that their Snowflex Tour is set to go ahead once again this summer, bringing joy, happiness and damn fine shredding to the carpets of England, Scotland and France. The tour, which is now in its fourth year, will kick off with a jam at the spiritual home of Snowflex, Halifax on August 21st.
The Westbeach circus will then move on up north for its Scottish leg, which takes place in the the Aberdeen snowsports centre on September 18th. Shortly after this, the tour will finish with a French leg on the epic dryslope of Nouex-les-Mines near Calais.
The comps, which are open to skiers as well as snowboarders, are generally pretty special occasions. There’s always a nice relaxed atmosphere and some sick riders throwing down.
Sue from Westbeach said: “Ditch work, book your ferry, get your folks to drive you there, hire a donkey, do whatever – it’s on!” And if last year’s tour is anything to go by, we reckon she’s right. It’ll be on like Donkey Kong. Check out this video of last year’s ‘Fax leg for proof.
