Having teased us with chat about how amazing it feels, and hinted at a low (or even no) highback, JF Pelchat has finally unveiled his new ‘revolutionary’ snowboard binding. And it does look pretty mad. The details are still a little unclear, but from this latest video it looks like it’s been inspired by skateboard trucks so that the binding pivots from heel to toe. Will it feel weird? Almost certainly. Will it actually help turning? We don’t know until we try it. But Devun Walsh for one seems to be impressed, saying it no longer feels like your foot is struggling against the straps but moving in sync with your board. Whether his praise is down to the fact he’s been good mates with fellow Wildcat JF Pelchat for years, or he’s actually putting his money where his mouth is and signing on the NOW binding team, remains to be seen.
