Louif Paradis Joins Adidas

“Growing up here shaped the snowboarder that I am … if I had big mountains I would have directed towards something else, but having all these spots all around and all this snow … I had to be creative and I had to find obstacles.”

Louif Paradis

Louif Paradis – one of the gnarliest and most progressive urban snowboarders around today – has just been announced as the latest member of the Adidas Global Snowboard Team. His full welcome edit is dropping this Monday, but for now here’s a pretty sick looking teaser.

We’ve been long time fans of Louif, even before he offered to give up his X Games street place to ‘Our Jamie’ in 2012!

With amazing urban parts for Real Street and Videograss, his tight skate style has set him apart from the herd for years now, so he rightly deserves being given this opportunity by one of the big new players in snowboarding.

“I’ve been watching Lou’ snowboard since I was 15 or 16 years-old, since way before I started filming snowboarding. The dude is amazing. He moves with such smooth style and his riding is always inspiring. He’s one of the best snowboarders alive, no doubt.”

Forest Bailey

He joins a stacked global team which already comprises off Jake Blauvelt, Eric Jackson, Forest Bailey, Helen Schettini, Kazu Kokubo and Keegan Valaika – all of who had respective welcome edits dropped last year. You can click their names to catch up on them all before Louif Paradis’ comes out on Monday.

Is this the first of another round of Adidas announcements coming for this season? Who else would you like to see join their global team?
