Jamie Anderson Is Selling Her Hair On The Internet

OK, there might be more to it than that...

**UPDATE** – the project has hit its fundraising target, so it’s full steam ahead! You can still donate and make the movie even better, though – here’s the Kickstarter page.

While it’s not ideal that video projects have to resort to crowdfunding to get off the ground these days, in a way it’s great to see crews taking the initiative and making their movie happen by hook or by crook. Take the imminent release of the new Grindhouse film, for example, which got over the finish line thanks to generous shredders digging deep.

Now it’s the turn of Full Moon, a female-only film that aims to document “the past, present and future of women’s snowboarding. Masterminded by Leanne Pelosi, the film has contributions from freeride legends Annie BoulangerMarie-France Roy and Helen Schettini. The old guard is well represented by the likes of Victoria Jealouse and Barrett Christy, and slopestyle superhero Jamie Anderson is on board too.

With most of the movie in the can, the girls need some help completing the two-year project, and have until 8th December to raise the cash. The Kickstarter perks are many and varied – but the most bizarre by far has to be the $30 option to receive locks of the riders’ hair through the post.

That’s right, creepy stalkers – no more hanging around at the X Games, scissors in hand, hoping to get within snipping distance. Now you just have to wait for the postman to bring you the goods, giving you more time to devote to the prototype cloning device in your garage.

In all seriousness though, we wish this project all the best. Based on what Leanne & co have achieved in the past, this looks set to be a cracker – so whether you’re after some folicles or not, head here to pre-order or donate.
