Never mind copper wire or railway buffers: some Czech scallywags have made off with an entire ski lift!
We came across this Prague Daily Monitor story via Unofficial Networks, and it’s blown our minds. The thieves somehow swiped the pylons, pulley and 1km-long wire, seemingly without anyone noticing! Metal thieves of Great Britain – consider yourselves schooled.
While it’s likely that it’ll be sold for parts, we’re hoping everyone in the Czech Republic is wary of any sketchers opening their own ski resort in the near future….
