Riding urban handrails is dangerous kids – if you’re not careful you could knock out your teeth, break a leg or if you’re particularly unlucky, tear your poop chute. The latter is exactly what happened to Scottish rider Jon Addison a few days ago while he was filming for the new Grindhouse movie in out in Helsinki:

Ok so I tacoed a handrail and tore my bowel. 12cm tear with only 1mm of tissue holding it together. Have a 20cm opp scar on my belly where they went in and stitched up the bowel. Pretty close call really, thank god.

Pretty grim eh? Thankully, Jon is one gnarly dude and is fully on the mend. We hope he heals up good ‘n’ proper and look forward to seeing his shots in the new Grindhouse movie next autumn.
