Billy Morgan wins Avoriaz Stash Contest

Photos: Ollie Howe

Billy Morgan has had a pretty good season by anyone’s standards. Not only has he been ripping up Morzine on a daily basis, he also won the Brits Big Air with this incredible double cork and starred in the Whitelines-Westbeach jib vid entry, nearly nailing this triple backflip.

And now, to round things off in style, he’s gone and won the Stash comp in the natural-looking, Burton-sponsored Stash park in Avoriaz. Not only that, he beat a bunch of experienced French and Swiss locals to take the title.

Morzine local Ollie Howe was there to witness the action and grab these sick shots. Here’s what he had to say: “A heavy night in Morzine took its toll on most of UK riders, meaning only Webby [Andy Webb] and Billy were there to represent us. Apart from that it was an all-local French/Swiss crew. The weather was perfect, the park shapers had put in the time shaping the features and setting up a BBQ and hog roast. They ran a lapping format were groups of riders would ride through the whole stash with the judges from, Avoriaz, Burton and Homies following and judging. Everyone ripped and was in high spirits, and the best bit is Billy won the thing…” Nice one Billy!

Ollie Howe went to great lengths (or should that be heights?) to get this sweet shot of Billy
